Apple Open New Store in Covent Garden UK
The UK are in for a real treat as they will be getting an all new Apple Store in Covent Garden.
The store will feature new additions to the standard store such as a “Start-up Room”, allow customers to activate their devices before leaving the store. Apple will also be introducing a new payment system called “EasyPayTouch”. The system will allow customers to pay anywhere in the store with credit card swiping technology connected to employees’ iPod touches. Another new feature is “ProLabs”, where customers can get in-depth training on Apple’s professional applications, which include things like Final Cut Pro. The store will also be offering a wide range of workshops and a number of youth-orientated programmes.
The building is a grade-II listed Victorian version of a 17th-century piazza. Features include a glass staircases a courtyard under a glass roof and exposed brick work. It is split over 3 levels and there is a lot of space. This has allowed apple to have separate rooms dedicated to Macs, iPhone 4s and iPads. They have dedicated the entire second floor to third-party accessories and add-ons for Apple products. There is also the much loved Genius Bar in store for free technical support and it is one of the longest seen. It looks truly stunning and Apple are saying that is, “the best store we have ever created”.

The store is Apple’s 300th and will open Saturday 7th August, 10am and if you are one of the first 4,000 people through the door you will get a special t-shirt. Will you be going?
