Mozilla Thunderbird: Make your email reply appear above the quoted message

One of the things that really used to annoy me about Mozilla’s Thunderbird Email client was the fact that when you replied to an email it would start from the bottom of the sent text. Due to installing Windows 7 I have chosen to install Mozilla’s Thunderbird as there is no mail client with 7.

Well I am pleased to report that there is a way to make it so that when you reply to an email, that your response appears above the email message. This is known as “Top Posting”
Go to Tools > Account Settings > [select account] > Composition & Addressing
From here you are able to then change the Composition option from the drop down to “start my reply above the quote”
You can choose to set this option for each account separately.
