Adobe Flash 10.1 for Mac adds hardware acceleration

Adobe Flash Icon - Ongoing Issue PicAdobe have released a beta version of Adobe Flash which supports hardware acceleration for Mac.  Code-named “Gala”, version 10.1.82.76  is available only for Mac OS X Snow Leopard

and supports the following graphics cards

  • NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
  • GeForce 320M
  • GeForce GT 330M.

Adobe reports that there is CPU utilization reduction of up to two-thirds is possible when GPU hardware acceleration is running.
